Build & Materials
The blade is crafted from premium Böhler ELMAX steel, a high-performance stainless tool steel known for excellent wear resistance, strong edge retention, high corrosion resistance, and dependable toughness. For a knife intended for serious field use, ELMAX offers a strong balance of durability and cutting performance.
This version features TRC’s distinctive Post Apocalyptic finish, created through heat. During the tempering process, each blade develops its own oxidation pattern, bringing out natural tones of darker shades, blues, bronzes, and other subtle variations. No two knives are exactly alike — every blade carries its own survivor’s mark.

The 172 mm blade and substantial 6.5 mm stock thickness make the Apocalypse a serious tool for hard outdoor use. Its large profile and robust construction are built for demanding tasks such as wood processing, batoning, shelter preparation, and general survival work.

Carry System
Each knife comes with a black TRC-made Kydex sheath, providing secure retention, safe transport, and dependable field carry. The sheath is designed to match the knife’s intended use, keeping it protected and ready for deployment in the outdoors.
If this version follows the standard Apocalypse carry setup, the sheath also features an integrated 8 mm fire-starter holder (fire starter not included), adding even more practical value to the overall survival package.
